Fusion complete I
Greetings!

Thank you Darrin Bowers for donating your time, talent and materials for Work in Progress III, which took place Saturday August 12th. "Pink Fusion" is 30" x 40" and currently the highest bid is $268! Bidding will end tomorrow morning at 11:59AM. All proceeds are donated equally to Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Mazzoni Center. Visit our website for more information on Work in Progress.

Coming up on September 9th, Dennis Flynn will be painting live in the window for Work in Progress IV.
Dennis John Flynn grew up in Warminster, PA, where he was encouraged to express himself through painting. By the age of 12 he was already being mentored by the neoclassical painter Charles Schneeweis.
When entering Tyler School of Art, his works were influenced by Monet for his use of color, The Hudson Valley School painters for their use of light, Duchamp for movement, and Pollock for freedom and order in chaos.
While in his 20"s Dennis John moved to New Hope, PA, an “artist community” and painted, exhibited and laid the foundation for his unique style and perspective.
After three Work in Progress events, our customers have raised over $750 for these two great organizations.

What is the story behind that piece?
Now you'll know with Absolute Story Cards

Every artist has a story behind the painting-the inspiration for their creation. We now feature story cards that share their story with you. This piece by Darrin Bowers is titled "The Coming Storm"
The Story:
I remember being in a hotel on the beach in South Carolina and when I looked out through the venitian blinds, I saw the amazing sight of an incoming storm off the ocean. What struck me most, was how the sky turned from a rich cobalt blue to a deep ultramarine and then to an almost black sky in a matter of minutes.
